About this policy
MODDOLIVING is a B2B modular pod manufacturer operating from head offices in Deventer (the Netherlands) and Jacksonville, Florida (United States). This policy explains, in plain language, how we handle personal information you share with us through this website. It is written to meet the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), the UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act / CPRA (collectively, the "Applicable Laws").
Our position is straightforward: we only collect what we need to answer your enquiry. We do not run marketing campaigns, build profiles, sell data or share it with third parties for advertising. The information you submit reaches the MODDOLIVING team inbox, we reply by email, and the conversation continues directly with you.
What we collect
- Name and email address you provide in the contact form.
- Project details you choose to share in the brief field — use case, footprint, intended site, timeline.
- Optional company information when you apply to become an authorised dealer or partner.
- Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, referrer URL) generated automatically for security and basic site analytics.
We deliberately do not request a phone number. We do not use intrusive tracking cookies, fingerprinting or advertising pixels. See our Cookie Policy for the small number of cookies the site does set.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry — typically within one working day — with a written reply, a configuration suggestion and an indicative quote.
- To deliver products and services you subsequently order, including invoicing, shipping and aftercare.
- To improve the website and the technical documentation we share with prospective buyers.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations once a commercial relationship is established.
We do not use your information for behavioural advertising, do not sell or rent it, and do not share it with unrelated third parties. Where a transaction requires a processor (for example, our email host or accounting platform), the data is shared only as necessary and remains under a written data-processing agreement.
Lawful basis (EU / UK GDPR)
We process your information on the lawful bases of (a) your consent when you submit a form, (b) the performance of a contract when you place an order with us, (c) compliance with a legal obligation (tax, accounting, export documentation) and (d) our legitimate interest in running a secure, functional B2B website and responding to qualified enquiries.
How long we keep it
Enquiry messages are retained for up to 36 months from your most recent contact. Order and invoicing records are retained for the period required by tax law in the entity that handles the transaction (typically 7–10 years). Server logs are retained for 90 days.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you have the right to ask us what data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to receive a portable copy and to object to or restrict processing. EU and UK users have the additional rights set out in the GDPR. California residents have the equivalent rights under the CCPA / CPRA — including the right to know, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information (we do neither, so there is nothing to opt out of). To exercise any right, email info@moddoliving.com. We respond within 30 days.
International transfers
Because our team is split between the Netherlands and the United States, your information may be processed in either jurisdiction. Transfers between the two are governed by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and equivalent UK addendum where applicable.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are transmitted over TLS, stored in access-controlled inboxes and limited to MODDOLIVING staff who need them to respond. Production data is backed up and protected against unauthorised access through technical and organisational measures appropriate to the volume and sensitivity of the data we hold.
Cookies and analytics
See our Cookie Policy for the cookies this site uses and how to control them.
